༺ Currently: Settling In ༻

‘Currently’ posts are a little snapshot of the events that are occurring in my day-to-day life. These episodes feature photos from my Instagram, do come and say “Hi!” if you are around. READING:

Louis L’Amour. He’s a western “pulp fiction” paperback author, in that he wrote a lot of western novels from 1953 and onwards. But just because he is a prolific writer doesn’t mean that his works are of that B grade quality.

His stories usually have a very similar theme and plot line, but the characters are different, and the way their stories evolve is different. I really enjoy reading his books because there is always a strong sense of right and wrong, and how you choose to deal with responsibility being the making of your character. Really inspiring literature.

And yes, I go on “author binges” where I read every book in my collection of theirs, and often end up adding more to my collection whilst I am at it. (✿◠‿◠)

 WONDERING:

Whether baby is a boy or a girl ~ but I have to wait at least 18 weeks before we get to find out, ‘coz we are waiting for the birth to discover what the newest member of our family will be.  ♡

FEELING THANKFUL:

That I got to go snowboarding before the season ended. I had three days this season, and it was awesome. {Yes, I was pregnant at the time ~ we went around the 16 week mark.}

EATING:

Yummy homemade Peanut Thai Style Stir Fry. I really like the combination of lime, peanut and sweet chili in the sauce. 

WATCHING:

Auction Hunters. I have a not-so-secret passion for anything antique or vintage, so in place of the BBC’s Antique Roadshow and Bargain Hunters {which I adore!}, I watch the Auction Hunters and get excited over seeing all the interesting things they dig up.  Theodore calls it the “Treasure Hunters Show”! 

WORKING ON:

Isabelle’s baby blanket… Yup, you heard that right. I’m 21 weeks + 5 days pregnant with number 3 and I still haven’t finished number 2’s blanket yet!!  (＠￣Д￣＠)  However, as I mentioned previously, I’m hoping to finish Isabelle’s blanket and quilt the next one without getting too much more behind.

LOVING:

That my house is becoming more organized. We are starting to feel like we are settling in. Yay! Cody Simpson’s “La Da Dee” song. DIY Gel nail polish manicures ~ they are still the bomb diggitty! Peter’s Lemonade Icy Poles. Fluffy bunny pajama pants. My new mint green satchel. Typo ~ that shop is my addiction. Cute gummy bear pens. All the stationary. Writing. Spring! It’s not too hot or too cold. The cute things my children do every day that make me laugh or melt into a Mama puddle.  ❤ ❤ ❤ 

ATTEMPTING:

To relax and simplify life. I’d like to not be so busy on the weekends, so we can have more room for family time. 

WANTING:

To be less tired! I need to do better with a regular bed time. This sort falls under the “attempting” category as well.  …(¬_¬)…

DOING:

Lots of children wrangling and mending from colds, ‘flues, and badly sprained ankles.
